General Scope of Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Waco Site Leader, the Technical Leader is principally responsible for ensuring the assets are running with the highest efficiency possible. They will lead improvement projects and will be deeply involved in developing new products.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Drive a safety culture based on accountability, trust, and care for your teammate
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, positive attitude, and cooperation with fellow associates
  • Lead the establishment of a solid Lock Out/ Tag Out program
  • Ensure a strong maintenance program is in place
  • Maintain product conformance in line with the quality standards
  • Insure manufacturing process support
  • Lead improvement projects to increase machines efficiency
  • Work with the digital champion group to drive digitalization on the site
  • Responsible for the building maintenance and repair
  • Promote an innovative and change friendly workplace receptive to new ideas
  • Establish and defining the New Product Development strategy with sales and marketing input
  • Insuring sales technical support when needed
  • Maintain the quality management system up to date (ISO 9001-2015)
  • Insure high quality laboratory analysis
  • Possible travel to other sites for technical support

Reporting Relationship:

Reports To: Site Leader - Waco

Coordination: Will regularly collaborate with suppliers, technical groups at other nonwovens sites, sales group, the Plant Manager and operators.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Coordination: Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing

Preferable Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in product development and process improvement with degree in Engineering or technical degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Textiles or Physics
  • Extensive knowledge of controls and drives on Dilo lines
  • Knowledge of the nonwoven/needlepunch process
  • Ability to lead projects and teams and interact with multi- disciplinary team members effectively
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; Spanish fluency is a plus
